Who We Can Help Right Now

We are currently accepting requests from seniors and veterans only.

Seniors, age 65 and older 🇺🇸 U.S. military veterans

Our work is done by volunteers and paid for by donations. Right now our volunteer schedule is full, so we have narrowed our focus to the two groups above. If the person who needs help is a senior age 65 or older, or a U.S. veteran of any age, please continue.

If that is not your situation, we are sorry. We are not able to take new requests outside these groups at this time. Please check back with us later, because we hope to open this back up.

North Florida Home Maintenance Foundation exists to assist seniors and veterans who are unable to maintain their property due to physical limitations, financial hardship, or lack of available support.

Because our resources are limited and funded through donations and volunteers, assistance is prioritized for seniors and veterans who do not have the financial means, physical ability, family support, or other available resources to reasonably address the maintenance needs themselves.

Applicants may be deemed ineligible if:

The applicant is not a senior age 65 or older and is not a U.S. military veteran.
The requested services can reasonably be completed by able-bodied household members residing in the home.
The applicant has sufficient financial resources to hire a professional service provider.
The applicant has access to family members, caregivers, community programs, or other support systems that can reasonably provide the needed assistance.
The property is a rental.
The property is being maintained primarily as an investment property, rental property, or second residence.

Submission of an application does not guarantee assistance. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis based on need, available resources, volunteer capacity, and the Foundation’s mission.
